Today, PETROF is one of the biggest European acoustic piano manufacturers. It is a family business that has operated in Hradec Králové since 1864, when Antonín Petrof built his first piano.
It is presently managed by Mgr. Zuzana Ceralová Petrofová who represents the Petrof family’s fifth generation.
PETROF brand instruments are manufactured from carefully selected materials of European
origin. Almost 80% of manufacturing consists of experienced master piano-makers’ handiwork. In 2007, the company received the EEX certificate (European Excellence), which
is proof of the used materials’ European origin and of the high quality of products. Within its field, the company is also a top innovator and holder of various patents. In connection with the company’s 150th anniversary, the premium brand, ANT. PETROF, named after the company’s founder, was introduced in 2014.
